FFL Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy a firearm online? Yes, however, when a firearm is purchased we cannot ship it directly to you. A firearm must be shipped to a licensed firearms dealer, where you can pick it up.

Can you ship a firearm to my house? No, we do not ship firearms to residential addresses, even if you have a FFL.

What is an FFL? An FFL is a Federal Firearm License. These licenses are commonly held by gun stores, pawn shops, and sporting goods stores.

How do I choose a FFL to have my gun shipped to? Currently, we do not have an FFL lookup tool on our site. The easiest way to look up an FFL dealer near you is through fflgundealers.net. After you have selected the FFL dealer you would like your merchandise shipped to, please put the FFL dealer's name and contact phone number in the notes section of the checkout page.

Do I have to contact the FFL dealer? No, you are not required to contact the FFL dealer. However, it is best practice for you to contact the FFL dealer that you have chosen to ensure they accept firearms transfers.

What if the dealer does not accept my firearm, or the dealer is unavailable when the package arrives? If the firearm is returned to us for one of these reasons, additional shipping charges, restocking fees and/or return fees may apply.

Do I have to fill out a background check? Yes. Any necessary paperwork and background check is completed between you (the buyer/transferee) and the receiving FFL dealer. This is typically done when you pick up your firearm, not when you order.

How will I know when my gun is ready to be picked up? When we ship your firearm, your contact information will be included in the package. Dealers will use this information to notify you once the firearm is ready to be picked up.

Some dealers may require extra time before a firearm is ready to be picked up. If you see that the package has been delivered, but you haven't received a call, please contact the FFL dealer to inquire when the firearm will be ready.

Can I return a firearm? You can return a firearm to us provided that you haven't picked it up from your dealer.

While the firearm is still in the possession of your dealer, please inspect the firearm thoroughly to ensure that there are no visible defects. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please contact us before picking up the firearm from your dealer. We can arrange to have it returned to us, and upon delivery and careful inspection of the firearm, we will provide you with your choice of either a replacement, if available, or a refund of the firearm.

Return shipping costs and/or a restocking fee of up to $50 per firearm may be deducted from your refund depending on the reason for return.

You can reach our online sales team at 803-774-3440 Monday-Friday between 8:30am and 5pm Eastern Standard Time. We will be happy to work through any issues you may have.
